Meet Karryn!

Karryn originally started with us postpartum to return to her pre-baby weight. Once we had accomplished that goal we moved on to changing her body composition and fueling her body to perform well in the gym. This mama works full time, has 2 children, and makes her health a priority! She is such an amazing role model to her two girls and is an absolute pleasure to coach.

I met Amber a couple years ago at the gym and we both happened to be pregnant! We bonded quickly through the gym and our pregnancies, well fast forward to when my daughter Madeline turned 6 months old I was ready to make a change and lose that extra 20lbs hanging around. I knew Amber was the right person for me to help guide me and keep me accountable, I watched her kick ass as at getting her body back after her daughter was born so it inspired me to do the same. I officially started a month prior to covid hitting and I am so happy I made that choice! I’ve lost a lot of inches and over 20lbs and the best part is I am the strongest I have ever been in the gym! I truly want to thank Amber in coaching me and keeping me accountable when I needed! I will always 100% recommend MyMacroLife to anyone!

Meet Leanna!

Leanna started with us to have a better understanding of nutrition and get back into fitness postpartum. Let me just tell you, this mama rocked it! She has been able to shed unwanted weight, form a solid workout routine, and learn how to fuel her body. She works full time as a nurse and kills it as a mom! Watching her journey has been such a privilege.

It had been a year postpartum and I had made no effort to lose the baby weight. Life is hard adapting to motherhood and putting me first was not at the forefront of my mind. I had tried the weight loss journey before and while it worked, nothing really stuck and no habits were formed. Then came My Macro Life and I am over a year and a half into this journey and I will never turn back! Let me be honest, I wanted to quit the first week as it was hard and I did not want to figure out all the counting and label reading. But, nothing worth having is easy, right? While the weight loss is great, I am most proud of my mind shift, new habits, and consistency (which definitely isn’t perfect). I still battle with certain things and I think I always will as that’s life, but it’s the progress I have made, not perfection. I was once told that we should never work towards perfection, but excellence and progress. Perfection has an endpoint, but there’s always more to achieve with excellence and progress. Also, just showing up for myself, not allowing a cheat meal or cheat day to ruin everything, and putting myself first. I have never felt so good, so strong, or so proud of myself and this is just the beginning! Don’t give up because the only person you are giving up on is yourself- you got this!

Meet Rachel!

We have been working with Rachel 40 weeks now and has absolutely blown our mind with her determination and willingness to trust the process. To date Rachel has lost 54.5 pounds and 13 inches off her waist! We can’t wait to see what else she accomplishes!

I started 2021 knowing I needed to make a sustainable change in my life and make a dedication to myself to get healthier. I was at my heaviest weight ever. Looking back now, seeing photos of myself at the start of the year, I am ashamed to admit that I hadn’t realized just how out of control I had let my weight get. I had unhealthy eating habits that I hadn’t really been willing or ready to let go of, but knowing that I envisioned having a wedding in the upcoming 2-3 years and hopefully starting a family after that, there was motivation enough to try and do something about how I was eating and start losing weight.
Thats where “My Macro Life” came in. I was introduced to this program by my best friend who had been an inspiration with the success and progress she was making “counting macros.” So I figured I’d try it. All I can say is, once I started and got into a rhythm, I became the most motivated I’ve ever been. I was learning how to lose weight in a healthy way, eat a “BALANCED” diet and learn to plan “guilty pleasures” into my week rather than deprive myself altogether.
The thing about My Macro Life is that it was the first program where I didn’t feel like I had to completely deprive or starve myself to lose weight. As I’ve continued throughout the entire year on the program working with my macro coach, my mindset started shifting to understand food better and understand how certain foods affect MY body.
Im now 10 months into starting the program and I have lost more weight than I ever could have dreamt I would realistically lose. I still work in sweets, dinners out and social events; once again, “it’s about balance!”
I can’t begin to say how proud I am about how much progress I’ve made and how grateful I am to both Amber and Cheveon for creating this program and helping people like me realize that losing weight and still eating foods you enjoy is possible!

Meet Julia!

Julia started with us to feel her best on her wedding day. She has developed a positive relationship with food, broke the cycle of starting over on Monday, and built a solid foundation of healthy habits. Julia has accomplished all of this while working well over 40+ hour weeks as we nurse. This beautiful and strong bride to be has been a killer client!

Meet Michelle!

Michelle started with us shortly after beginning at her local CrossFit gym. She was eager to learn find a sustainable way of eating that also helped her perform in the gym. Michelle has excelled in every possible way as a client all while working full time and managing two busy children’s schedules. She has transformed her body, competed in several CrossFit competitions, and crushed a ton of races. Her journey is truly inspiring to watch!

One night I was randomly scrolling Facebook and was looking at a post in a group that had before and after pics. There was a before and after pic of Karryn Matthews and she was talking about working with a nutrition coach. At this time, I had just started CrossFit and was the heaviest I had been with the exception of when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter. I knew that I had to make a change and I knew that just working out wouldn’t get me there. I got Amber’s info and started working with her immediately. I knew that I needed something sustainable. I filled out my questionnaire and worked with Amber on what I wanted my end goal to be. I realized quickly that weight is just a number and it wasn’t actually what I was after. I needed to have a better relationship with food, learn to eat more nutrient dense food, and figure out a way to make this work for everyday. I’m a mom, I have 2 extremely active kids, I work full time. I knew that I didn’t have hours to spend meal prepping and I knew that if I couldn’t make it work with my family it would never last. And I’m not always perfect. I don’t always hit my numbers, but I do most of the time. I focus on staying consistent. I know what works for me and I stick to it. That may mean eating the same thing for breakfast every day or always ordering the same thing at a restaurant, but that means I don’t have to think about those numbers.
It’s been 15 months, it’s not always been easy, but it’s been worth it. Amber has been there every step of the way. When I’ve complained about being overly hungry, we talked about changes we could make to my food to feel more full. When I needed a break, she would bring me out of a cut. When I wanted to do competitions, she helped me figure out what to eat before, during, and after. She’s held me accountable when I’ve not wanted to hold myself there

Meet Kayla!

Kayla came to My Macro Life to lean out and feel better. She has done exactly that! This busy mama of 3 has had amazing success and transformed her body through nutrition only (can you believe this was all without working out?!?). She is incredible and we can’t wait to see everything else she will accomplish.

It was back in January when I saw a post from a childhood friend on Facebook talking about My Macro Life and how much it had changed her way of looking at food and diets. I decided to reach out and ask for more information as I knew it was time for me to make the change. I was the heaviest I had ever been and felt terrible about myself and my eating habits. I have 3 kids, my youngest two are only 17 months apart and I was struggling to lose the baby weight, so I knew I needed a push and someone to hold me accountable. The thing I love most about My Macro Life is I don’t need to starve myself or give up the foods I love (macaroni and cheese and sweets), instead I plan for those foods and eat them regularly! I haven’t been completely consistent since January, I took 2 months off while my family relocated from Maryland to Florida because honestly, I didn’t have it in me to stress about planning my meals and staying on track. But what My Macro Life taught me in the 5 months I had been following this program was how to eat correctly. In those two months I took off I maintained my weight, which to me, was a huge accomplishment. My coach was there to support me, even though she didn’t have to be. She checked in on me, helped me get right back on track, and even gave me some tough love when I needed it. I’m not perfect, I cheat and munch on things I shouldn’t, I’m human. What I do know is that I am getting smarter with food every day, I am seeing the changes on my body, I am feeling how much healthier and stronger I am and it’s all thanks to this program and the amazing coaches!

Meet this amazing mama!

This client started with us shortly after having her son. That first year as a new mom is extremely challenging but she navigated it with grace all while building healthy habits for herself. We were able to work together to help her understand counting macros and begin to build a workout routine. Since she has been with us she has continued to put everything she learned into practice and her results are amazing!

Meet Sanja!

Sanja started with us after having her second son. She was ready for a lifestyle change and to regain her confidence. Being a busy mom of 2 little ones she was not ready to commit to workouts but she dove straight into macros with great success! After conquering macros she was able to add in long walks and boxing to help shape her body. She is determined to reach her goals and is such a fun client to work with!

My macro life started just a year ago. I was consistently down on myself, both physically and mentally. I tried all the fad diets but nothing stuck, and when it did, the weight just came right back when I fell off the wagon a little bit.
Then came my wonderful coach and friend amber!!! I LEARNED about food. I learned about my nutrition, and I even learned how to identify what mental obstacles triggered my bad eating habits.
Over the course of a year, I’ve lost a total of 40 pounds. I’ve also had a lot of home obstacles that have detoured my progress every here and there. However, even with those detours, the weight didn’t just pile back on! And more importantly, I had the all the knowledge of how to get back on track, someone to keep me going, and who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. My macro life really did change my life in so many ways, by far the best decision I’ve made was to invest in myself.

Meet Laura!

Laura started with us wanting to define her muscles and perform well at CrossFit. She has more than exceeded those goals! She is able to RX workouts and reshape her body. She is a busy working mom who always going the extra mile to make sure she gets her workout in. She has been incredible to work with!
